What do I need to do before my first appointment?

Providing top-quality dental care does not have to come at the expense of your comfort and trust. You will feel this from the moment you step into our office all the way through until your scheduled appointment is over. For your convenience, we have provided online forms for you to fill out before your first visit, making your scheduled appointment run smoothly.

What is your exam and xray policy?

As part of our whole patient care, we follow the American Dental Association (ADA) recommended guidelines for exams and x-rays. According to the ADA, a periodic oral examination including dental radiographs is a recommended part of our long term dental care solution.

The standard recommendation is:

• A scheduled periodic oral exam every 6 months to 12 months.
• Adults with high caries risk/periodontal disease progression need X-rays every six to 18 months.
• Adults with low risk/periodontal disease progression need X-rays every two years.
• Children with high caries risk need X-rays every six to 12 months
• Children with low-risk need X-rays every one to two years.

We understand that some of our patients may be concerned with the frequency and/or cost of the exams and x-rays. Periodic oral exams and dental radiographs (x-rays) help us evaluate your overall dental health as well as diagnose any conditions that may need attention. Without periodic exams and regular dental x-rays, we cannot provide the best care possible to our patients.
